DESCRIPTION:Join us for this PSI seminar with guest speaker Dr Lyudmila T
 uryanska. In this seminar\, Dr Turyanska will present the recent work on
  0D and 2D materials\, and their integration with additive manufacturing
  (3D printing) of devices. Synthesis of perovskite nanocrystals with dif
 ferent composition and morphology enable fine-tuning of their optical pr
 operties for exploitation in a number of optoelectronic devices\, such a
 s photon sensors and LEDs. Of particular interest graphene-based 2D/0D h
 eterostructures\, where surface decoration with nanocrystals provides a 
 route to fabrication of ultra-sensitive photon detectors operational in 
 the UV to NIR wavelength range. To enable upscaling of the device fabric
 ation\, we integrate low-dimensional materials with  additive manufactur
 ing processes\, which also offer opportunities for in situ and post-depo
 sition control of the material properties as well as geometrical design 
 freedom. Dr Turyanska's group use the inkjet deposition of 0D and 2D mat
 erials to fabricate conductive and dielectric layers\, as well as optica
 lly active layer and demonstrate fully 3D printed devices (e.g. FET). Po
 tential applications of inkjet printed low-dimensional materials for opt
 oelectronics\, including stretchable and bendable devices\, will be disc
