vers of symmetric groups\n\nAbstract: BrouĂ©'s conjecture posits that a b
lock with abelian defect group is derived equivalent to its Brauer corre
spondent. A RoCK block is even Morita equivalent to its Brauer correspon
dent. The existence of RoCK blocks is\, therefore\, fundamental to the s
tudy of BrouĂ©'s conjecture for many classes of blocks of finite groups.
In this talk we investigate RoCK blocks for double covers of symmetric g
roups. The proof that we do indeed have a Morita equivalence very much m
irrors that of the corresponding result for the symmetric group\, origin
ally proved by Chuang-Kessar. However\, there are many interesting diffe
rences that greatly complicate the situation and require several differe
