 r Joseph E. Stiglitz is to debate the global financial crisis with Ravi 
 Kanbur\, Cornell University Professor of World Affairs on 15 June.\n\nTh
 e debate will launch a two week summer school organised by the Universit
 y’s Brooks World Poverty Institute which is Chaired by Professor Stiglit
 z.\n\nAll events take place at The University of Manchester\, are free t
 o attend and open to all.\n\nOther highlights include a discussion with 
 a panel of experts including  - Professor Mohan Munasinghe  - on “Climat
 e Change and Climate Justice” on June 16.\n\nProfessor Munasinghe is Dir
 ector General of the University’s Sustainable Consumption Institute.\n\n
 He is one of the world's leading economists\, a co-laureate of the 2007 
 Nobel Prize for Peace and Vice Chair of the UN Intergovernmental Panel o
 n Climate Change.\n\nAnd on 22 June there will be a public panel discuss
 ion between Professor Stiglitz and fellow Nobel prize winner Professor J
 ohn Sulston on intellectual property.\n\nProfessor Sulston is Chair of t
 he University’s Institute for Science\, Ethics and Innovation. He was aw
 arded the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 2002.
