Martin Amis Public Event: Philip Larkin - with James Fenton & John McAuliffe. Professor of Creative Writing Martin Amis will discuss the work and influence of the poet and novelist Philip Larkin, with poets James Fenton and John McAuliffe . Larkin was recently named the greatest post-war English writer by The Times, and was chosen as the nation's best-loved poet in a 2003 survey by the Poetry Book Society. This event will be followed by a Q & A session. Martin Amis Public Events are presented by the University's Centre for New Writing.
