DESCRIPTION:The Nest is a bespoke drama production created by SBC theatre
  originally written and performed in the 2015 Manchester Science Festiva
 l.  On 24th and 25th April 2017 The Nest returns to Manchester at the fa
 ntastic new 53Two theatre\, located within the railways arches just a fe
 w minutes from Deansgate Tram stop.  \n \nThe Nest focuses on the relati
 onship between a father and daughter\, Sean and Sara and is set in a wor
 ld where Sean’s wifi-enabled smart home system takes care of all his nee
 ds\, but also monitors his behaviour and health. The play follows Sean a
 nd Sara’s changing attitudes towards The Nest covering issues such as sh
 aring information on social media\, attitudes towards sharing health dat
 a for different purposes and  targeted advertising. The aim of the play 
 is to highlight the range of attitudes that we have towards data sharing
  and looking at how and why they can differ and at times conflict and th
 e consequences this can have. \n \nThere will be an interactive after-sh
 ow discussion about the themes raised in the play\, allowing audience me
 mbers to ask questions\, discuss or just hear the views of others in the
  room. This session will be chaired by Tom Cheesewright one of the UK's 
 leading commentators on 'technology and tomorrow' and a regular guest on
  the TV and radio including the BBC and Channel 4.\n\nTickets are £5.50
