Todd has been really at the forefront of molecular evolution research for the past 20 years. Highlights include his paper in Science in 2000 on the origins of genome duplication in Arabidopsis, his development of the iPlant collaborative infrastructure for plant biology and several high-profile paper on segmental duplications and repurposing of proteins. He has also served as the Associate Director of Informatics at the National Evolutionary Synthesis Center since 2006.
