DESCRIPTION:This session aims to inspire behaviour change in those who te
 ach.\n\n We will highlight findings from our research which identifies t
 he 55 core behaviours of 'transformational educators' and encourage part
 icipants to reflect upon ways in which they can adopt such behaviours an
 d support colleagues to develop them too.\n\nIntended learning outcomes 
 of the session:\n\nOutline the main principles of 'transformational' tea
 ching.\n\nIdentify the 55 core behaviours of transformational educators.
 \n\nReflect upon ways in which teachers can adopt practices and behaviou
 rs in order to become a more 'transformational' educator.\n\nDiscuss how
  this information might be used to inform staff development programmes\n
 \nConsider how the observation of 'educator' behaviours could be used to
  assist in the recognition of teaching excellence.\n\nThe Academy for Ed
 ucation and Professional Development’s mission is “To ensure consistent 
 high-quality development and delivery of educational programmes with stu
 dent experience at their heart”. Academy events are open to all those wh
 o contribute to the development\, delivery and management of FBMH underg
 raduate\, postgraduate and continuing professional development programme
 s including staff from across the University\, the Manchester Academic H
 ealth Science Centre and our NHS clinical education partners. The Pedago
 gy Seminar Series provides a forum to discuss research undertaken and/or
