En la primera obra narrativa publicada de Arturo Pérez-Reverte, la novela corta (o nouvelle) El húsar (1986), nace la figura del “héroe cansado” revertiano, en torno a la cual se plasman ya muchos de los elementos principales del juego que es su literatura, y se anticipan o prefiguran otros.
