Join us as Dr Jess Wade, scientist and equality campaigner, visits The University of Manchester to give a public talk as part of our International Women’s Day celebrations.

Jess tirelessly campaigns for gender equality, whether through redressing Wikipedia’s under-representation of women in STEM subjects or using social media (@jesswade) to challenge the science gender gap, whilst working as a Research Associate at Imperial College London.

Jess will be discussing gender balance, why it is important and why we need to keep talking about equality.

This is a free event, open to everyone.

The talk will take place in Lecture Theatre B, University Place, followed by networking over coffee and cake in University Place foyer.

Programme:

13:00-14:00 - Key note speech by Dr Jess Wade, followed by Q&A
