SUMMARY:In vivo Tissue Reprogramming Seminar - In vivo Tissue Reprogrammi
 ng Seminar
UID:{http://www.columbasystems.com/customers/uom/gpp/eventid/}h103-le474q

DESCRIPTION:Abstract:\n\nAddressing the notion of functional tissue repro
gramming in vivo. Such reprogramming happens under immune surveillance a
nd achieves desired functional gains at the system level without the nee
d for any tissue grafting or cell transplantation. \n\nIn our laboratori
es\, such reprogramming is achieved by tissue nano-transfection technolo
gy or TNT. This tissue nano-transfection (TNT) approach allows direct cy
tosolic delivery of reprogramming factors by applying a highly intense a
nd focused electric field through arrayed nanochannels\, which benignly
nanoporates the juxtaposing tissue cell membranes and electrophoreticall
y drives reprogramming factors into the tissue. Emphasis will be placed
on vasculogenic reprogramming of the skin with other examples including
 myogenic\, neurogenic\, and neurotrophic outcomes.\n\n\nThe speaker Prof
essor Chandan K Sen (H-index 109) is a Distinguished Professor at the In
diana University School of Medicine and a Professor at the Weldon School
of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue. Dr. Sen directs the Indiana Center
  for Regenerative Medicine and Engineering.\n\n\n[https://www.eventbrite
