DESCRIPTION:Drew Mackie\n\nCommunity network mapping and analysis\nOrigin
 ally an architect and planner\, Drew has been mapping community and heal
 th networks for many years. Based in Edinburgh\, he has used network map
 ping and analysis to identify key organisations and individuals in proje
 cts throughout the UK and Ireland. He uses the Graph Commons and Kumu on
 line netmapping systems to identify clusters and centralities and the su
 mApp online data collection system to feed the maps directly. Present wo
 rk covers:\n- working with systems change managers in the East Riding of
  Yorkshire to map community projects\n- assisting the Health Foundation 
 in mapping the ‘Q’ quality improvement programme throughout the NHS in t
 he UK and Ireland\n- creating and analysing a netmap of black activist g
 roups and individuals in Manchester for the Ubele African diaspora organ
 isation\n- mapping the network of issues and organisations around black 
 unemployed over 35 in Lambeth\n- creating an interactive netmap of organ
 isations involved in emergency food supple during Covid in Islington for
  the Octopus Community Network of community centres\nThe presentation wi
 ll cover how he uses these software packages together and give example d
 rawn from the above. The session is not about the theory of networks. It
 ’s about the practical application of the network mapping approach.
