An international double bill covering nuclear power for Latin America and SMRs in Canada
We are very excited for our double bill of talks. It is our pleasure to welcome Alice Cunha da Silva who will be giving a talk on nuclear power in Latin America.
Alice graduated Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Nuclear Engineering with honors. She has a Masters Degree, Business Administration and Management, and an MBA in Project Management. Alice is currently Key Account Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company. She was the winner of the WNU Nuclear Olympiad at the IAEA, received the certificate of honor Admiral Alvaro Alberto for services provided in the Brazilian nuclear industry, and is the youngest member of the board of the Brazilian Association of Nuclear Energy.
We also welcome Professor Jeremy Rayner, Director of the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Saskatchewan and is a visiting Research Fellow at the Dalton Nuclear Institute. Jeremy's work focuses on theories of the policy process, particularly policy learning and policy change, as well as policy analysis, governance, and resource, energy and environmental policy. He is currently undertaking research on the policy environment for the development and deployment of small modular reactors (SMRs) in the UK as part of a larger comparative study.
Jeremy will be talking about SMRs in Canada.
