DESCRIPTION:The Keswick Fieldcourse is the first experience incoming firs
 t years have of Geography at Manchester and it allows the students to ge
 t to know each other even before their first lecture. \n\nStudents work 
 in small group tackling a range of Physical and Human Geography projects
  in and around Keswick\, learning a variety of fieldwork skills\, findin
 g out about the past and present Geography of the area and region\, meet
 ing and working with members of academic staff\, and learning more about
  what they will undertake during their time at University.   \n\nIt is a
  very successful trip and is one of the memorable moments of any Geograp
 hy students’ time at University\, and has been run in Keswick for over 5
 0 years!
