DESCRIPTION:It is with pleasure that I announce the RSC Tilden Prize lect
 ure\, which this year will be given by Prof. Ivan Parkin from the School
  of Chemistry at UCL.\n\nProf. Parkin received the RSC Tilden prize for:
  "the development and applications of films in light activated anti-micr
 obial surfaces\; self-cleaning glass\; solid state oxide gas sensors and
  the formation of rugged superhydrophobic surfaces.” \n\nThis promises t
 o be an excellent lecture with broad appeal. I look forward to seeing yo
 u all there.\n
