George worked for many years with Frank Gannon in Heidelberg and did a number of seminal experiments on the temporal dynamics of gene regulation before starting his own group in Mainz. Recently he has focussed on epigenetic changes during the transcription cycle. His thinking on the control of gene transcription is cutting-edge inspiring. Well worth a look, so do try to come along.
