DESCRIPTION:12-2pm. In 2012\, to mark the centenary of the first Egypt ga
 llery to be opened at The Manchester Museum\, we are planning on opening
  Ancient Worlds - three new galleries highlighting our collections from 
 Manchester and the region\, and from ancient civilizations such as Greec
 e\, Rome and Egypt.  Meet the conservation team to find out about their 
 work on conserving objects for the new gallery.  One activity is using s
 mall fragments of pigment on sculpture to recreate the original appearan
 ce of some our sculptures. Part of the Festival of British Archaeology.
