DESCRIPTION:The University of Manchester Gateway Programme provides a new
  opportunity for Year 7-11 learners within Greater Manchester to partici
 pate in a coherent series of academic enrichment and Higher Education aw
 areness activities.\n\nThe Y8 Familiarisation Visit will explore differe
 nt courses to familiarise learners with the range of subjects offered by
  universities\, which will be followed by curriculum taster sessions acr
 oss STEM (Science\, Technology\, Engineering & Maths)\, Medical Human an
 d Biological Sciences\, and Humanities subject areas. These activities w
 ill provide an exciting\, hands-on experience\, combining teambuilding\,
  problem solving and presentation skills. Learners are encouraged and su
 pported by University students who provide positive role models for the 
 pupils.\n
