DESCRIPTION:Fanqi Zeng\, University of Oxford \nWaves of cooperation in p
ublic goods games on networks\nCooperation\, as a reciprocal behaviour t
hat brings benefits to others while costs to oneself\, is widespread in
natural and social systems. In this work\, we propose a general mathemat
ical framework to investigate the dynamics of a typical public good game
that involves cooperators and defectors in a spatial system. We first u
se the generalised modelling method to engineer a public goods game. The
n by introducing the diffusion among spatial nodes\, we examine that the
coupling factors that evolve in the networks of nodes can trigger vario
us instabilities such as shortwave instability and finite wave number in
stability in three different scenarios\, which represent different coope
rative behaviours among players. Collectively\, the perspectives in this
work shed new light on the intricate relationship between cooperators a
nd defectors in public goods game\, and highlight opportunities for anal
ysing nonlinear dynamics of public goods models in spatial systems and b
 eyond efficiently. \n
