Recognising, embracing and valuing difference that leads to improvements for all, however, to really create change for the better, we must strive to be active changemakers and allies, not just passive bystanders.
Join us as we explore how we can be active supporters. We will discuss topics such as the importance of pronoun use and allyship. There will also be time for networking and refreshments.
The event will start with introductions from Dr Natalie Gardiner and Paul Marks-Jones. Dr Sergi Celis will then chair a conversation with LGBTQ+ and allied members of the University who will share their experiences with pronouns and their suggestions on how to be a proactive ally.
