 rch? Become a researcher for a day and join us in our quest to analyse t
 he pharmacy collection at the Manchester Museum.\nHoused in the Museum’s
  Herbarium\, the Materia Medica collection consists of over 800 specimen
 s in glass jars. The plants\, animals and minerals in this collection we
 re used to teach medicine at the University of Manchester during the 19t
 h and 20th centuries. You will explore the fascinating world of interdis
 ciplinary research and be introduced to themes from the history of pharm
 acy\, material culture and historical archaeology as well as how to hand
