DESCRIPTION:The 6th annual IET/BCS Manchester Turing \nLecture will take 
 place on Wednesday March 17th 2010 - refreshments from \n5:30pm\, lectur
 e at 6:00pm.\n\nThis year's speaker is Professor Chris Bishop\, Chief Re
 search Scientist \nat Microsoft Research Cambridge. Chris will be delive
 ring a lecture \ntitled Embracing Uncertainty: The new machine intellige
 nce. The lecture \npromises to offer a fascinating insight into the fiel
 d of machine \nlearning and how uncertainty can be modelled and quantifi
 ed using \nprobabilities.\n\nThe lecture is open to BCS and IET members\
 , University staff and \nstudents and the general public. Following the 
 talk the IET are hosting \na networking buffet at Manchester Museum wher
