About the event:
The Ebola Outbreak in West Africa will continue until it is bought under control, doing so is an immense Public health and political challenge. But until it has stopped, increasing number of lives will be lost every day. However progress is being made . A number of University staff and Alumni have either already been affected by this disaster or are working in difficult conditions to care for those with Ebola and to control the spread of the disease.
A ‘Bake sale’ to support the DEC Ebola appeal, is being held at 12-2.00 pm on Monday the 8th December in the ground floor of the University Place ‘Drum’. There will be excellent cakes, scones, mince pies etc. to buy. But there will also be a display of how our colleagues and Alumni are involved. SO please come prepared to spend generously and if you have a colleague or ex -student working with the disaster please bring a picture and details to put on the board, or send them to me beforehand. We need to keep the momentum going for this appeal.
