DESCRIPTION:Can’t see the wood for the trees? Exploring the future of for
 ests for people and planet.\n\nIf we’re serious about tacking the climat
 e crisis\, while also reducing poverty\, then restoring forests around t
 he world is an urgent task.\nForests host most of the biodiversity on la
 nd\, are the world’s largest carbon stores\, and contribute directly to 
 the lives of billions of people\, especially in tropical countries. But 
 with the effectiveness of large tree planting and carbon offsetting sche
 mes increasingly being questioned\, are we heading in the right directio
 n?\n\nJoin us for a late event looking at the state of the world’s fores
 ts\, including:\n\n•	A talk by award winning photographer Kieran Dodds\,
  whose Hierotopia series explores the green ‘church forests’\, close to 
 the source of the Blue Nile in Ethiopia.\n\n•	A panel debate from leadin
 g experts and practitioners in the field on preserving and extending our
  forests at the scale needed to address the environmental crisis includi

 empower project developers and local stewards to launch equitable nature
