DESCRIPTION:A Fairness at Work Research Centre (FairWRC) half-day worksho
 p.\n\nThe Fairness at Work Research Centre (FairWRC) draws on a long lin
 e of internationally recognised and published research in the areas of g
 ender and diversity\, stress and well-being\, dignity at work/bullying a
 nd harassment\, voice\, representation and trade unions\, pay\, working 
 time and other components of human resource management. We play a key ro
 le in integrating this research within Manchester Business School and th
 e University.\nThere is a growing need to communicate research to a broa
 der audience and to bring a more engaged approach to the research agenda
  of universities. There are also pressures emerging from various higher 
 education bodies relating to dissemination which brings new challenges a
 nd issues.\n\nThe session will explore specific policy areas and ways of
  disseminating our research with practitioners. It will also explore the
  nature of impact and the changing role it plays. It will look at ways i
 n which research briefings are developed\, the increasing role of new po
 rtals within the University for the purpose of research dissemination an
 d the nature of competing views regarding impact. The sessions will feat
