DESCRIPTION:Abstract:\nNew research agendas are currently being formulate
 d around 'digital geographies'. Drawing on her longstanding work using d
 igital technologies for sustainable\ndevelopment goals\, in this talk Do
 rothea Kleine argues that the engaged\, critical and participatory tradi
 tion in geography should be a key strand of these future agendas. She wi
 ll be discussing the ESRC-CONFAP Food Futures 2.0 project\, where Brazil
 ian and British academic facilitators\, community NGOs and young partici
 pants engaged in participatory film-making to express the perspectives o
 f youth on sustainable and just food futures. The project's methodology 
 has now been adopted by UNICEF for work with young people in other conte
 xts.\n\nBio:\nDorothea Kleine is Professorial Research Fellow at Sheffie
 ld University and leads the Digital Technologies\, Data and Innovation g
 roup at the Sheffield Institute for International Development. She is a 
 Faculty Associate at Harvard University?s Berkman Center for Internet an
 d Society. Before joining Sheffield\, Dorothea was director of the ICT4D
  Centre at Royal Holloway\, University of London. She studied Munich (LM
 U) and Oxford universities and holds a PhD from the London School of Eco
 nomics and Political Science. She later worked at the¦University of Camb
 ridge and¦Bonn University. Dorothea has conducted collaborative research
  with and/or advised UNICEF\, UNEP\, EuropeAid\, DFID\, GIZ\, IDRC\, pri
