  over two decades studying the fundamental mechanisms that underlie prot
 ein quality control and its links to diseases such as cystic fibrosis. H
 is work has focussed on the the recognition and degradation of misfolded
  proteins at the endoplasm reticulum and the development of small molecu
 le inhibitors of key chaperones such as the Hsp70s. We are delighted to
