Hip Hop, Spoken Word and the Library
This year the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Race Relations Resource Centre is working with the American Studies department at the University of Manchester to build a brand new library resource, focusing on themes of Hip Hop, Grime, Spoken Word, education and social justice.
Join us as we mark the start of this exciting project with 'Reflections on a decade of Grime' by Joy White, of Independent Social Research Foundation and Greenwich University, performances from Young Identity and an insight from Shirley May of Young Identity and Wordsmiths into their Spoken Word work in Manchester schools.
