DESCRIPTION:My title: Understanding B cell and neutrophil dysfunction in 
 cardiometabolic disease. \n\nIntro to the lab: Cécile Bénézech is a rese
 archer at the University of Edinburgh in the Centre for Cardiovascular S
 ciences. She did her PhD in Nantes\, followed by a Postdoc in Birmingham
 . Her lab is interested in the interplay between the immune system and t
 he cardiovascular system and thrive to discover key immune pathways invo
 lved in maintaining metabolic and cardiovascular health. The lab aims to
  understand how dysregulation of immune pathways associated with obesity
  or age or disease leads to increased risk of infection and cardiovascul
 ar diseases and to identify new immune therapeutic targets to boost immu
 ne defence and treat cardiovascular diseases.\n
