  Digital Humanities 2014 keynote Bethany Nowviskie asked "What is the pl
 ace of digital humanities practice in the new social and geological era 
 of the Anthropocene?". Reflecting on the tenth anniversary of Nowviskie'
 s intervention\, this paper will explore the ways in which DH has respon
 ded\, how it has developed distinctive practices and research agendas th
 at confront our intersecting climate\, ecological\, and social emergenci
 es. It will posit 'Data Environmentalism' as an ethic for our times\, an
  ethic that honours – and builds on – the ambitions of Nowviskie's 'Digi
 tal Humanities in the Anthropocene'.
