A presentation will be given by Dr Ping Yang from Los Alamos National Laboratory, New Mexico entitled: ‘Predictive Modelling in Actinide Chemistry.’
Dr. Yang is Staff Research Scientist in the “Physics and Chemistry of Materials” group of the Theoretical Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory since January of 2015. Prior to this date, she was Senior Research Scientist in the Molecular Science Computing group of the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Her research interests lie in predictive computational chemistry, particularly for systems containing lanthanides and actinides.
Following the presentation there will be opportunity for questions/discussion and light refreshments will be available afterwards.
