About the event:

It is our pleasure to invite you to our first EUPATI UK national network event which will take place in Leeds on Thursday, 6 March 2014.

The European Patients’ Academy on Therapeutic Innovation (EUPATI) UK National Liaison Team (NLT) is a small team of four people representing patient group Alliance Scotland (an umbrella organisation with over 400 members), Universities of Leeds and Manchester and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). The NLT’s aim is to raise the profile of EUPATI on a country level, form a national network of stakeholders who can help disseminate information about EUPATI's education and information aimed at patient advocates, lay patients and citizens, but also generate a dialogue around future patient involvement in the medicines research and development process in the UK.

We have arranged an exciting program of speakers and by the end of the day we hope you will have:

  • obtained an overview of EUPATI and its aims
  • learnt more about the training program offered by EUPATI; how you and others can apply
  • understood how the patient and public involvement in the UK can gain from EUPATI
  • influenced how effective partnerships can be fostered in the UK

The consortium project "European Patients' Academy on Therapeutic Innovation" (EUPATI), funded by the Innovative Medicines Initiative, will provide scientifically reliable, objective, comprehensive information to patients on medicines research and development. Participation to this Conference is free. For the agenda and further details on travel reimbursement (first come, first served), please open the attachments.
