This week's pure postgrad seminar will be given by George Dickinson at 3pm in Frank Adams 1.
Abstract:
The Riemann zeta-function is key to many aspects of Analytic Number Theory, as many interesting results can be proved by examining its behaviour. In this talk, we will examine some fundamental facts about the zeta-function and how it relates to important theorems, focusing particularly on the still open Lindelöf hypothesis.
