The brain-skin connection is an area of significant clinical and research interest given that there is a large body of data which demonstrates the impact of the brain on the skin and vice versa. The time is ripe to gather experts from Europe and North America to present recent novel research data as well as the clinical application of such advances.
The meeting will aim to discuss: (i) Interactions between the nervous system and skin whilst providing a clinical update of the latest developments in this key area; (ii) Facilitate networking and collaboration between investigators which could lead to scientific and therapeutic advances. Consequently, the meeting will be of great value to clinicians (in particular dermatologists, as well as, psychologists, psychiatrists and neurologists) and scientists including immunologists, cell biologists, neuroscientists and individuals interested in inflammatory skin disease.
Abstracts (deadline: Friday 6 January) are invited for both free communications and poster submissions. Presenting authors of the two highest scoring abstracts will each be awarded £500.
