Innovation Labs: Crea-Tech
'The University is inviting select industry partners to put forward challenge briefs around the broad theme of Crea-Tech for an interactive Innovation Lab workshop with academics from a mix of disciplines. The event will enable development of collaborative project plans that could provide solutions to the challenges and inform future products and services.
The event will bring together 3-5 businesses working within creative, cultural & digital sectors who are seeking to overcome a specific challenge or to develop innovative products and services, that could be informed by new knowledge, technology, or methodology stemming from academic projects. The University will curate individual groups of academic experts from a range of complementary disciplines to support each business and over the course of this facilitated workshop we will develop tangible project plans to pitch for seed funding to cover academic time to develop the project.
Please note, this is an in person on the University campus. Business partners will be matched in advance with a team of academics from different but complementary disciplines and through a process of ideation and needs identification will develop a project plan that than then be pitched for seed funding to cover the initial academic time.
We are planning to run this sand-pit style event in collaboration with Creative Manchester and we would love to hear from you and your potential challenge area.
