DESCRIPTION:At this seminar\, Paul Wilson\, a Senior Lecturer in Implemen
 tation Sciences at the University of Manchester\, will present a talk ti
 tled “Accelerating the introduction of innovative treatments in health s
 ystems: the VICTORION-Spirit study to evaluate the delivery of Inclisira
 n in primary care”.\n\nSummary\nThe need to address large population hea
 lth burden is a corner stone of the NHS Long Term Plan. The NHS is now c
 onsidering population health approaches for the implementation of new he
 alth technologies.  This requires understanding how new technologies cou
 ld be deployed and delivered in the real world. As part of a national co
 mmercial agreement between the UK Government and Novartis\, we are worki
 ng with NHS England and Novartis to evaluate how to deploy and deliver t
 he cholesterol lowering drug inclisiran at scale in primary care. This p
 resentation will describe the study methods and discuss how trial repres
 ents an opportunity to rethink traditional development pathway for new t
