Dear everyone,

In the next seminar of Manchester Immunology Group our guest Prof. Francesco Colluci from the University of Cambridge will present a talk 'The Double Life of Killer Cells: NK in Reproduction and Cancer'.

The seminar will take place on 2nd of October 2014, at 12 pm in AV Hill 1.006.

Francesco Colluci finished his medical studies at the University of Bari in Italy. After that he completed his PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of UmeƄ, Sweden. He later worked at Necker University Hospital, Paris, France and at Pasteur Institute in Paris. In 2004 he became a group leader at Babraham Institute, Cambridge, UK and since 2010 he is a Senior Lecturer, at the University of Cambridge Clinical School. His current research interests include immune cells at the fetal-maternal interface, control of tumor growth by immunity and cell transplantation. He published multiple articles in top journals including Science, Nature and Nature Immunology. He is a co-founder of Dando, Weiss & Colucci Limited, a management company that facilitates biomedical research.
