DESCRIPTION:This roundtable discussion will focus on some of the challeng
 es and insights of using creative practices when addressing issues relat
 ed to politics\, colonialism\, and postcolonialism. Participants will sh
 are their thoughts on how creative practices\, particularly creative wri
 ting and visual arts\, might reshape methods\, change our understanding 
 of cultural production\, and help put research into dialogue with non-ac
 ademic partners. At the same time\, there will also be some reflection o
 n the obstacles and shortcomings of such methods\, not least when discus
 sing issues related to social inequalities. Attendees will be encourage
