Travelling concepts: portraits and partible persons
An invitation to revisit the notion of 'partible person' came the same year (2015) as a return visit to Mt Hagen to repatriate some photographs, especialy photographs of people. Thinking about the way concepts travel (partible person extending beyond its original ethnographic location), I introduce another travelling concept, the notion of 'portrait'. My photographs turned out to be not quite the portraits I had imagined.
