TAPIR: Conservation in the highlands in Costa Rica
Join us for a fascinating lecture on Tapirs being given by Esteban Brenes-Mora, the founder and director of Nai Conservation: a research group focused on mammals from the Highlands of Costa Rica.
For over two years he has been studying the population ecology of the endangered Baird’s Tapir (Tapirus bairdii) in Cordillera de Talamanca and lobbying with the government to turn data into conservation action.
The special guest presentation will also include specimens from Manchester Museum's zoology collection.
This is free of charge and suitable for adults.
