Teenage Kicks: Andrea's story
Teenage Kicks is an exhibition about what life was like for teenage girls in Britain in the 1960s. It is based on research from the Girlhood and Later Life project led by Professor Penny Tinkler. We are showing one of the eight stories in the gallery at the National Graphene Institute at the University of Manchester this summer. Come along and see Andrea's story, as she moves from her small village where her family life revolves around church, to getting a university place in London, where she finds the space to follow her academic and personal dreams.
The exhibition is in the National Graphene Institute, and you view it from the street outside, so you can visit at any time in daylight hours. You can see the whole exhibition on our Teenage Kicks website.
