 key event for The Doubleday Centre\, which promotes greater patient and 
 public involvement in the training of doctors. The centre works with car

 nAbout the speaker\n\nDr Porter currently anchors BBC Radio 4’s flagship
  medical series Inside Health\, is the medical correspondent at The Time
 s\, and is a columnist for Saga Magazine. He has been appointed MBE for 
 services to healthcare\, and recently received the Healthwatch-UK Award 
 for his contribution to public understanding of evidence based medicine.
