SUMMARY:Structural Equation Modelling Using Mplus
UID:{http://www.columbasystems.com/customers/uom/gpp/eventid/}mo-k48qoemv
 -wlup6h
DESCRIPTION:Structural Equation Models (SEM) amalgamate regression analys
is\, path/mediation analysis and factor analysis\, allowing for more ric
hly detailed statistical models to be specified and compared to data tha
n by using these techniques individually.\n\nHistorically\, SEM models w
ere confined to the analysis of continuous observed data\, limiting thei
r usefulness in applied social research\, where many phenomena are inher
ently discrete or are measured only with coarse-grained instruments.\n\n
Advances in recent years have made available SEM methods for categorical
data to applied researchers. This course covers both linear SEM and gen
eralized SEM for non-continuous outcomes\, as well as models with non-co
ntinuous latent variables\, i.e. latent classes.
