DESCRIPTION:Abstract: Collagen IV alpha 1 (COL4A1) and alpha 2 (COL4A2) a
 re primordial extracellular matrix proteins that are core components of 
 basement membranes in all organs. COL4A1 and COL4A2 mutations cause a mu
 lti-system disorder for which cerebral small vessel disease is a major c
