A valuable opportunity for establishing academics exchange and research collaboration with a Brazilian Federal University:
The Research Dean Professor Airton Stein and Dr Katya Rigatto (Professor of Physiology), from the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre (UFCSPA) will be visiting our UoM on 14 September 2018. They represent the UFCSPA and will present their strategic themes and discuss exchange of academics and students, as well as research collaboration and funding opportunities for those willing to support the integration between our UoM and their institution.
The main strategic themes for UFCSPA are:
1) Infectious diseases: molecular basis, diagnosis, resistance and control;
2) Cellular and molecular neurobiology;
3) Physical activity, health and non-communicable diseases;
4) Translational Research in Cancer;
5) Global Health and implementation of clinical guidelines: improving the local quality of health care.

We invite all academics, researchers and students from the UoM to attend their presentation and to meet these representatives from this Brazilian university, and we hope some good collaboration will be started on this event.
