DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE DUE TO THE SCHEDULED STRIKE ACTION THIS EVENT WIL
 L BE RESCHEDULED AT A LATER DATE.\n\nThe session will cover the practica
 l and pedagogical applications of the PeerGrade platform as a tool to en
 gage with students in a peer assessment environment.\n\nWith PeerGrade s
 tudents are exposed to each other’s work and are asked to give feedback 
 on the submission (usually 3 times) based on the marking rubric you choo
 se to set.\n\nWith proper rubric creation\, a numerical grade can be aut
 omatically calculated for each submission alongside written comments gui
 ded by the questions you set in the rubric.\n\nWe will explore the gap t
 his fills in the Universities learning technology toolkit\, relate exper
 iences of its use in live teaching and discuss student feedback on havin
 g used it. \n\nThere will be an opportunity to explore the student exper
 ience of PeerGrade via iPads (provided)\, and discussion around how you 
 can integrate it into your teaching will take place. \n\nThe intended le
 arning outcomes of the session are to:\n\nGain an understanding of PeerG
 rade and the gap it fills in The Universities’ Learning Technology toolk
 it\nExplore the time saving potential of giving students an extra batch 
 of personalised feedback while not having to personally mark any assessm
 ents.\nDiscover current applications of PeerGrade in teaching and the fe
 edback form students this has generated.\nExperience PeerGrade from a st
