DESCRIPTION:Join us for an informal and fun session that includes an intr
 oductory workshop co-presented by Jodrell Bank Observatory’s Dr. Anthony
  Holloway\, along with a chance for you to try out your equipment on sit
 e at Jodrell Bank with expert guidance.\n\nYou’ll learn how to use your 
 DSLR or Compact System Camera to get started in Astrophotography. You’ll
  also discover how you can use simple equipment such as a tripod\, to ca
 pture different images of the night sky\, from planets and constellation
 s to the colours of stars and star trails. There’ll be a chance too\, to
  look at additional equipment you can use to expand the range of images 
 you make.\n\nNo previous knowledge is required to attend this session. H
 owever\, you will require your own camera with full manual controls and 
 a tripod. Outdoor clothing and waterproof footwear is advisable. Hot dri
 nks will be provided.\n\nThis event is suitable for adults and young peo
 ple 14+. All attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adu
 lt.\n\nPlease note\, observing the night sky is weather permitting.\n\nP
 lease note\, car parking is now charged at £4 per car for event bookings
 .\n\nBlue badge holders can park for free.
