DESCRIPTION:The Greater Manchester Care Record sandpit is scheduled to ta
 ke place across two sessions on Wednesday 3rd and Friday 5th November at
  14.00 – 16.00.\n\nThe Greater Manchester Care Record (GMCR) research pl
 atform provides authorised GM researchers and clinicians trustworthy\, s
 afely governed access to a wealth of deidentified data to support world-
 leading research.\n\nThe first studies launched using the GMCR have supp
 orted GM’s response to COVID-19\, including understanding trends and ris
 ks to public health and those communities at highest risk\, how the dise
 ase affects those with other health conditions\, and preventing and cont
 rolling its spread.\n\nWe are now looking to develop ideas beyond Covid-
 19 with and for our GM community by holding this research idea gathering
  sandpit event. We invite researchers\, clinicians\, engineers\, data an
 alysts\, health and care workers and citizens to come together to define
  and work up ideas together across the sandpit sessions.\n\nWe will be f
 unding a number of six-month feasibility studies which develop from thes
 e sandpits (~£10-15k per successful proposal). Please note that due to t
 he nature of this funding\, each funded project must be led by a researc
 her from The University of Manchester.\n\nIntellectual Property rights w
 ill be subject to terms and conditions as agreed between the Alan Turing
  Institute and The University of Manchester.\n\nPlease share this invita
