This event celebrates one year since Sustainable Futures at The University of Manchester externally launched, and will bring together researchers from across the University and key external stakeholders to discuss current innovative and impactful sustainability activity.
First, we’ll hear from Professor Mike Shaver, Director of Sustainable Futures, followed by updates from each of the Sustainable Futures Challenge Leads:

Dr Helen Holmes - Inclusive and Prosperous Futures
Dr Jelena Ponocko - Net-Zero Futures
Dr Alejandro Gallego Schmid - Resourceful Futures
Dr Tim Foster - Resilient Futures
Dr Jennifer O’Brien – Inspired and Informed Futures
After this, we’ll hear from University of Manchester researchers who will deliver short 'lightning style presentations' sharing details of their work within the realm of sustainability. Each researcher will have five minutes to briefly discuss their area of research, including recent updates and calls for collaboration/support. Lightning talks include:

Finally, the session will break out into virtual rooms to allow for networking among attendees and speakers.
