DESCRIPTION:\nThis event honours the memory of writer Caroline Chisholm (
 MA Creative Writing\, 2013)\, who was a valued member of the CNW communi
 ty. \n\nRoss Raisin is the author of three novels: A Natural (2017)\, Wa
 terline (2011) and God’s Own Country (2008). In 2013 he was named as one
  of Granta’s Best of Young British Novelists. He has been the recipient 
 of several awards\, including The Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year 
 and a Betty Trask Award\, and been shortlisted for the IMPAC Dublin Lite
 rary Award and the Guardian First Book Award. His 2018 publication on th
 e practice of fiction writing was titled\, Read This if you Want to be a
  Great Writer. Ross teaches creative writing at Goldsmiths University.\n
