Bee-Friendly drop in day
Bee-Friendly drop in day at Citylabs Reception on Wednesday 9 August, 9-5pm.
Britain’s bees are in trouble. 35 UK bee species are under threat of extinction, and all species face serious threats. Bees pollinate much of the food that makes our diets healthy and tasty! For more information look on the Friends of the Earth website where you will find interesting facts, what you can do to help and how to order your very own Bee Saver kit.
We are asking for cake donations so if you could let me know ASAP if you are able to bake or donate cakes to sell on the day that would be great.
On the day we will have:
- Free give-aways e.g. packets seeds for bee-friendly flowers, small wooden bees for children.
- Cakes for a small donation to a Bee Friendly campaign/ charity.
- Information on how you can help.
- Information on how to make bee-hotels in your garden/available window box space.
We are also asking people to wear something black and yellow on the day in support of the Bees.
